  • Provide access to High Speed Broadband Internet Service connecting the information superhighway.
  • Broadband Internet, the lifeline of the current generation and the future, will connect people around the world via email, social media; empower people with knowledge & information via websites, blogs; will create opportunities for the community, will create high impact in the socio-economic educational front and will be a potential game changer in playing a level field for poor and disadvantageous students in India, and in Odisha (which has a below average internet penetration in the country) in particular.
  • Digital Contents:
  • Provide Information Technology (IT) platform to access Digital Contents such as productive software, educational software, digital books, digital magazines, etc from around the world in various area of education, and profession.
  • Digital content would enhance the experience of learning, making the field competitive, improve productivity, make learning interesting, scalable and sustainable.
  • Reading Room:
  • Provide access to facilities like traditional library with sections for adults, women and children.
  • The thirst for information and knowledge will not be limited to digital contents only, but also traditional library facilities like books, references, magazines, journals, newspapers will be provided, as needed by the community, to encourage reading habits/culture, in a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Internet-Audio-Video enabled Community Center:
  • Provide access to Community Center for learning, information exchange, collaboration, public congregation.
  • Community Center will also function as a resource center, information house, knowledge center, and edutainment center and will be used to host or organize events, seminars, workshops on regular basis. Library activities are extremely important to bring interest and dynamism in the library. It can be used by community volunteers to collect ideas and concerns, brainstorm issues for betterment of the library.
  • Skilled and Knowledgeable Staff:
  • Provide Skilled and Knowledgeable Staff working in a welcoming, functional, and comfortable environment to meet the need of the community in a professional manner.
  • Library Automation Service:
  • Provide Library Automation Service using National Informatics Center (NIC)’s e-Granthalaya for better understanding the library performance
  • Focused activities:
  • Conduct focused activities to promote Early Childhood Literacy, Literacy, Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, Health and wellness, e-Government, Civic engagement, e-Commerce, and Social inclusion;
  • The library management with support from Friends-Of-Library volunteers, will host or organize events, seminars, workshops on regular basis by inviting professionals in respective fields, govt. administrators, academicians, accomplished, successful subject matter experts, authors, artists, and entrepreneurs.
  • Inclusiveness:
  • Serve the entire community across all sections: younger kids, school students, college/university students, unemployed youth, housewives, common citizens, elderly people and will be a happening place, a second home for the citizens.
  • Community Engagement in the Library:
  • Integration of Civil Society Members in Library Management: They are passionate, committed, respected, enthusiastic, proven, progressive thinking local community volunteers to serve/lead in the best interest of the library, work in advisory role, set the future directions, drive the planning & execution, monitor the progress of the library and be part of the library management board/trust/council.
  • Integration of Friends-of-library:These volunteers will be an independent group of volunteers for the library to support, advocate, promote the library in the community and help the library management to make the library more vibrant. They would help in fundraising only for the library, bring awareness on the library services, sponsor programs for the community, and help organize various library activities under direct supervision of the library management.
  • Users Group, will be an integral part of the library who would represent the direct beneficiaries across all sections of the community. They will provide direct input on the need of various services in the library, and be vigilant on effective and smooth operation of the library and work with friends-of-library, help conducting various educational information sessions, and educational activities
  • Model Library: 
  • The library will use best practices around the world, will have close association with NICRRRLF, District IT/Culture/Education department to be in sync with national/state policies additionally to take the benefits, involve library experts/activists/academicians, and work towards making an inspirational model to follow by others.
